Become a Vendor

Thank you for your interest in participating as a vendor at SOulFully Textured, A Natural Hair Festival on Martha's Vineyard.  The Festival is an important space for people of color to come together and to feel seen. SOulFully Textured events are proven to be successful venues for small businesses to showcase their products and services to consumers ready to buy from businesses that cater to their specific needs.  We are excited to share an opportunity for innovative small businesses to showcase their products and services to a targeted audience of natural hair enthusiasts.  The third year of this empowering event will take place, for the first time, on the island of Martha's Vineyard on Saturday, August 12, 2023. 

 

By participating in SOulFully Textured, you will have the opportunity to increase sales and  your client base. Our attendees desire products and services that are meaningful and designed to empower them in all aspects of their lives in order for them to live their best lives. They are coming to experience the newest trends in healthy hair care, beauty, and fashion; learn tips on healthy living, embracing self, and financial security; and to celebrate all the textures of the natural hair culture.  We accept a variety of vendors with a goal to maintain a balance between the various types in order to offer the widest selection to our attendees.

 

The Festival venue, Waban Park, is walking distance (0.4 miles) from the Oak Bluffs ferry terminal and a short taxi ride from the Vineyard Haven ferry. Because the venue is within walking distance of the Oak Bluffs ferry terminal and a short taxi ride from the Vineyard Haven terminal, you can take the passenger ferry which does not require a reservation.  We do not recommend bringing a vehicle to the island (however, if you choose to bring a vehicle, note reservations open on Jan. 24th at 5AM and will sell out quickly).  Taxis meet incoming ferries, you can take the #13 Bus from both on-island ferry ports, or walk from the Oak  Bluffs ferry port. In addition, the Steamship Authority has luggage carts to help transport your items on and off of the ferry.  You should label your items. You can find out more information in their FAQs here under baggage or call the Steamship Authority.  Our Vending Package includes a table and two chairs so you will NOT have to transport these items to the Festival. You are permitted to bring your own tent no greater than 10' x 10' for sun and rain protection.  Vending set up will be between approximately 8 -10:30 AM, and break down between 5-6:00 PM.

Vending/Marketing Packages

Vendors/Marketing tables $150

• One 10' x 10' vending space inline with other vendors. Includes:

  • 2 Event Passes

  • 1 Rectangular Table (6'  x 30')

  • 2 Folding Chairs

  • Listing in Digital Event Guide

 

Electricity $50

Please note electrical needs on the application and whether you will need the included table and/or chairs.

Application Process

​

We recommend that you submit your application early as opportunities are limited and subject to change.  Once we receive your application, we will review it for product diversity in relation to the other accepted vendors in your product/service area. "Knockoff" and counterfeit items are not permitted.   If you are selling items, you are responsible for obtaining the appropriate license(s) and for paying all applicable state and local taxes.

Participation in SOulFully Textured is subject to approval of your application.  Accepted vendors will receive a confirmation email, contract and invoice for payment.  Payment is due within 10 business days of the confirmation email.  If payment is not received by the due date, your space will not be reserved.  All payments are final, non-refundable and non-transferable. Please review the Event Rules and Regulations before submitting an application.

Do I Need Lodging? August is a very popular time on the Vineyard. We designed the Festival as a one day event in order to avoid needing lodging on the Vineyard.  However for those wanting to stay near the Festival venue, we recommend staying nearby on Cape Cod and taking one of the ferry services over the day of the  Festival.
