Become a Youth Vendor
The Curated Curl has reserved a few spaces for young entrepreneurs. We invite and encourage community youth, under the age of 18, to apply to be a vendor at SOulFully Textured. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for youth to gain hands-on business experience marketing, exhibiting and selling their original product and learn about handling money, while selling their products in a fun environment. All products for sale by Youth Vendors must be made by the youth, who must be present selling their items at the event. The Event Rules and Regulations apply to Youth Vendors. Youth under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult at all times during the Event. Youth must know how to manage their transactions, make change, and be able to talk about their product. Youth Vendors must obtain parental or guardian permission to participate. The parent or guardian will be responsible for ensuring the Youth Vendor complies with the Event Rules and Regulations and will execute the Vendor Agreement on behalf of the youth. Parents/Guardians may play a supporting role in the Youth Vendor's business but must leave the actual creative, production and business work to the Youth Vendor. A parent or guardian’s active participation in the design, production and selling of the products is not permissible. To be a Youth Vendor, you must design, produce, market, make and sell your product. During the Event, a parent/guardian may help with set-up; on-site troubleshooting and advice; and help with breakdown/clean-up.
To be a Youth Vendor, you must:
